Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professionals who share our commitment to quality and student success. The Faculty of Social and Community Services requires subject-matter experts to develop course materials for one or more courses in the ECE Supervision and Leadership Micro-Credential program including:

  • Financial Management in Community and Social Services
  • Human Resources Management in Community and Social Services
  • Pedagogy and Leadership
  • Understanding the Early Years Act

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the development of high-quality degree level course materials: * Course outline;

  • Course Learning Outcomes and Essential Employability Skills;
  • Assessment criteria and timelines;
  • Course policies;
  • Learning plan including student learning objectives, activities and assessment dates and weighting;
  • Course materials;
  • Assignments with evaluation criteria and rubrics;
  • Quizzes and tests with answer keys; and
  • Text and/or resources selection.

The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications: * A Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).

  • A minimum of three to five years of recent (within the past three years) experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role within and early childhood education setting
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level with a demonstrated understanding and application of UDL and current assessment methodologies.
  • Understanding of the Ontario college system.
