Job Details:

Position Title: Digital Marketing Assistant

Status: Regular Part-time Support

Hours: 24 hours per week

Faculty/Department: Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences

Campus/Location: North Campus

Hourly Rate: $18.26 – $28.10

What you will do:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Operations, the Digital Marketing Assistant (DMA) will support the creation and delivery of content that increases Humber students’ awareness of the services, support and resources available to them through the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Innovative Learning (FLA). Specifically, the DMA is responsible for the production, maintenance and distribution of digital media including but not limited to social media, video, photography, graphic design, and website. As part of their role, the DMA will collaborate with fellow media focused work-study students and may also be required to collaborate with partners within and outside FLA.

In addition to the core focus on storytelling through digital media, this position will provide support for digital media requests from across FLA. During the school year, the DMA will be required to provide videography and photography support across all of Humber’s main campuses (North & Lakeshore).

Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

Education

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a 2-year diploma in Digital Marketing, Digital Media or a related field.

Experience

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-years experience in content management, digital and print media content creation, photography, video production, and digital media editing. In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience managing social media channels including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter;
  • Strong understanding of website and media analytics and how to implement changes to improve outreach based on analytics;
  • Knowledge of how to create ads for Google, Facebook, and Instagram to help promote initiatives and programs within FLA;
  • Expert level skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Reader. Experience with Canva an asset;
  • Experience with a content management system (Later preferred); and,
  • Experience with interviewing, sourcing story leads, and presentations will be considered an asset.
