Job description: The Clair Matin residence, by Cogir Immobilier, is looking for one (1) colleague to join its dedicated team as a dining room waiter to eat. The position is unionized. We offer you a warm and dynamic team in a superb working environment.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The dining room server greets residents in the dining room, presents the choice of menus, takes meal orders, follows up with the kitchen team and serves. If necessary, he helps residents with their trips after meals. He sets up and serves the tables. In collaboration with the kitchen team, he helps maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen by performing all other related tasks.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s)
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
- In cooperation with the kitchen staff, prepare daily and à la carte menus and answer residents’ questions regarding meals and preparation
- Perform other related duties
- Take orders, noting specific requests and following-up with the kitchen staff
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexibility for the work schedule
- knowledge of a Maitre D’s responsibilities (an asset)
- Customer service experience an asset
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
