Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Dock Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading freight and ensuring the accurate routing of shipments. The Dock Worker will also assist in general warehouse duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy objects and operate various equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Load and unload freight from trailers, trucks, and containers.

– Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.

– Utilize forklifts and other equipment to move and stack materials.

– Conduct inventory checks and report any discrepancies.

– Keep track of incoming and outgoing shipments.

– Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and organization of materials.

– Follow safety protocols and regulations always.

– Maintain a clean and organized work area.

– Participate in regular training and development programs.

Requirements

– High School Diploma or equivalent.

– Proven experience as a Dock Worker or in a similar role.

– Possess a valid forklift license.

– Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

– Proficiency in using various warehouse equipment.

– Great attention to detail and accuracy.

– Familiarity with safety protocols in a warehouse setting.

– Strong communication and team player skills.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

– Flexible schedule to accommodate potential overtime and weekend shifts.
