Job description: Adecco is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer – EV Battery Launch for a full-time role located in St. Thomas, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing project engineering tasks related to construction, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely project completion. This opportunity is within the engineering, architecture, and construction industry, and it involves occasional travel to Europe (~10%).

Detailed Job Description: As the Electrical Engineer – Project Construction – EV Battery Launch, your responsibilities will include:

Performing on-site project engineering tasks related to construction.

Coordinating and monitoring assigned tasks and projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and cost targets.

Interpreting project documents to determine requirements and action plans.

Overseeing quality control/quality assurance in construction and design aspects.

Preparing reports on project status and compliance.

Representing technical topics to the project team.

Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating corrective actions.

Managing external service providers.

Conducting site inspections and resolving technical difficulties during the construction phase.

Developing labor and material cost estimates.

Representing the Owner’s interests on site for Electrical Engineering topics.

Collaborating with team members and contributing to construction meetings.

Ensuring compliance with relevant local building codes and permits.

Candidate’s Profile: To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and characteristics:

Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

International mindset with an interest in global work and diverse teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent.

8+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with execution of industrial facilities.

Experience working on large projects and Design-Build projects.

Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.

Ability to work safely on active construction sites.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on project goals.

Proficiency in construction scheduling, workflows, and quality control/quality assurance.

Fluent in MS Office suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
