Opportunities are available across Western Canada, with most of our work in Alberta and Northeastern British Columbia. Contract lengths are dependent on each project. Successful applicants must be able to travel or relocate for the project’s duration.

What would you be doing?
- Oversee workforce planning including the development of all work scopes, shift schedules, and field work packages to execute and control all work through to a safe and efficient completion.
- Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained down to the foreperson level.
- Work with the Superintendents to expedite and coordinate site resources needed to effectively execute the work, including sub-contractors, materials, construction equipment and labour.
- Proactively involved in setting client expectations from the executive level to the front lines.
- Professional and timely communication with partners, vendors & suppliers that inspires everyone on the project to want to exceed your expectations.
- Responsible for workforce planning, including developing all work scopes, shift schedules, and fieldwork packages to execute and control all work to a safe and efficient completion.
- Will provide leadership to FLINT Superintendent, General Foreperson, Foreperson, and direct field labour.
- Ensure all field activities in the assigned territory meet or exceed safety, quality, schedule, and cost by efficiently using all resources, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support incident investigation.
- Provide supervision and leadership to those driectly reporting to you.
- Inspire a culture that leads by example, where your actions and words align with Flint’s core values.
- Work with Project Manager on schedule, estimates and progress updates.
Does this sound like you?
- Journeyman Electrical Trade certification, or related post-secondary degree. Other education which may include business management, project management or other related technical specialties.
- Experience in managing demand maintenance model, construction, fabrication, plant shutdowns, labor supply.
- Demonstrate experience and successful management of multiple projects with budgets of $2 – $20 million, utilizing upwards of 200 craft personnel and multiple contractors.
- Experience and ability to read and interpret Requests for Proposals including technical electrical and instrumentation drawings.
- Utilize systems for estimating, scheduling and/or project management, including McCormick and MS Office.
- Experience analyzing project/operational financial data and implementing performance action plans to improve operational results.
- Technical expertise in the mechanical/piping sector including shutdown/turnaround execution, long term maintenance programs, operations coordination, equipment management, cost estimating and bid development is considered a bonus.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Valid safety tickets.
- Self-driven with an excellent work ethic.
