Here’s how a(n) Engineering Student for our Winnipeg office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination

• Coordinating drawings
• Coordinating work specific scope/trades
• Conducting trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, verify hours, verify rates
• Participating in project meetings
• Conducting deficiency walks
• Inputting / Updating deficiency logs
• Issuing warranties
• Taking / Coordinating progress photos
• Updating field drawings
• Producing as-built drawings
• Field Coordination

• Performing quantity takeoffs
• Coordinating sub-trade work
• Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings
• Supervising sub-trade work
• Setting up / Maintaining record keeping
• Layout site lines and grades using total station
• Scheduling:

• Updating project schedules
• Creating manual schedules
• Creating and updating schedules using Suretrak software
• Obtaining scheduling information from sub-trades

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
• A willingness to work on remote projects (Northern Ontario, Northern Manitoba) should the opportunity arise.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and will be returning after the co-op term or graduating thereafter.
