The Business Analyst is responsible to work with system-users and other stakeholders to gather and document requirements, work with technical staff to translate requirements into design and test new or modified software programs to validate requirements have been met. This will include requirement gathering, documentation and prototyping. The analyst will review internal QA and development documentation to ensure that it meets the client business needs.

Specific duties for our Business Analyst role include:

• Provide a connection between business owners and technical resources to provide realistic IT solutions
• Develop relationships with client stakeholders
• Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, prototypes, use cases, scenarios and other methods
• Ask probing questions to ensure understanding of business needs and translate into technology capabilities
• Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize collected requirements
• Work with technical staff to translate requirements to technical design
• Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the development/product lifecycles
• Support the testing process to ensure that applications meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requirements and identify existing or potential issues
• Track issues identified while executing test plans
• Verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed
• Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load and acceptance testing methods
• Make recommendations for improvement of applications to system analysts and development staff
• Communicate test progress, test results and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of business analysis best practices
• Mentor and coach team members in all areas of the existing system and new technologies

Education

Preferred

• Bachelors or better in Business Administration
• Associates or better in Business Administration or related field
