JOB SUMMARY Restaurant General Manager, Flower & Wolf Flower & Wolf Restaurant & Bar, located within Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, offers locals and travelers a familiar yet refreshing restaurant and bar experience in a sophisticated space. What you will be doing: • Responsible for the day to day operations of the venue while ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction at all times • Engage the team and drive a culture of service and hospitality to drive and exceed customer satisfaction scores • Ensure that ongoing training is taking place and that team members are being coached and held accountable for their duties • Responsible for ensuring every employee is working effectively and efficiently as well as improving employee morale and employee relations • Overall financial responsibility for the restaurant including scheduling, inventory control and effective use of the POS and all available tools. • Responsible for driving marketing initiatives and activations for the venue, while ensuring an active presence on social media channels • Develop and maintain a relevant upselling program ensuring average checks are monitored and opportunities to increase these are capitalized on • Champion for Open Table and Silverware POS to ensure systems are maximized and utilized efficiently • Review and monitor meal periods, seating times and booking trends to ensure maximization • Actively participate in menu development and pricing while ensuring accurate data and feedback is considered • Ensure all correspondence and feedback received by the venue is answered/responded to in a timely & professional manner • Ensure ambiance of restaurant and patio are well maintained and adjusted accordingly to time of day and/or season • Participate in long term strategic planning to ensure success of the venue • Stay up to date with food & beverage scene and offerings within Calgary, as well as proactively seek out and implement food & beverage trends while maintaining brand integrity of venue • Ensure compliance to all local and corporate policies & procedures • Other duties as assigned Your team and working environment: • Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire is a unique property, managed by Accor under the Fairmont brand, and operating as a franchised Marriott property, which offers exposure to many stakeholders and brands • The team at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire is committed to excellence, open, welcoming and feels like a second family • Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire is designed for those in pursuit of adventure, joy and relaxation. JOB REQUIREMENTS Your experience and skills include: • Service focused personality is essential and previous food & beverage front of house leadership experience, minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a comparable setting is required • Previous experience with marketing initiatives and/or social media presence is required • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office; prior experience working with Silverware or a related system is an asset • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly (both written & verbal) with proven networking/interpersonal skills • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders • Ability to lead by example and create a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance • Results orientated, positive outlook, attention to detail with ability to drive projects forward • Available to work a schedule that reflects the business levels and needs of the venue/hotel In order to keep our employees and the general public safe from the threat of COVID- 19 and the rise of variants in the community, the Hotel has implemented a COVID-19 Workplace Vaccination Policy.
