“DSB Blueberries” is a blueberry farm is currently looking for Five (05) Full-time, permanent General Farm workers for their Farm.

1. General Farm Worker (NOC 8431)

Education: None

Experience: None (Any previous related experience would be an asset)

Language: No format Language required

Wages: $14.60/hour

Hours of Work: 30 Hours per week

Benefits: Accommodation will be provided at $30/week and other benefits will be as per BC Employment Standards Act

Duties:

• Planting, fertilization and harvesting of crops
• Operate farm machinery and equipment.
• Detect disease and problems in crops
• Examine the quality of crops.
• Loading and unloading of produce into trucks.
• Protecting crops from weeds & pests by taking appropriate actions like spraying Pesticides etc.
• Informing farmers or farm manager of crop progress.
• General Maintenance of Farm.
• Preparation of Farmland for upcoming season

Work Conditions:

· Must be able to work in Outdoor Area – Wet/damp Dusty, rain/shine, hot/cold weather

· May require long hours standing, couching, kneeling and bending

· Repetitive tasks

· Able to manage large work loads
