Job description: The Glenerin Inn and Spa is seeking a General Manager to join their team based in Mississauga, Ontario. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be the face of the operation and will be responsible for leading by example with compassion and professionalism, supporting all aspects of operation and interacting effectively with both the guests and staff. Who You Are…

As the successful candidate, you have post-secondary education (ideally in Hospitality Management) and three to five years of experience managing a similar hotel or resort operation. You are a service-excellence-driven individual dedicated to the guest and employment experience. You possess strong leadership experience are able to work well with diverse teams. Versatile, multi-skilled and able to provide hands-on operational leadership, you have a strong understanding of marketing, value propositions and have a proven track-record of effectively managing financial results.

How you will do it…

• Lead the team toward the organizational, facility and departmental goals and priorities
• Recruit, develop, supervise, lead, inspire and evaluate staff
• Manage available resources to promote optimal guest and employee satisfaction
• Oversee the process to respond to guest inquiries, complaints and comments
• Identify and manage risk as it applies to the human, physical and financial resources
• Focus on exceeding guest expectations daily and on improving established cost and quality standards and maximizing profits
• Develop and execute business plans, budgets and sales and marketing plans (digital, print, audio etc.)
• Protect the property and their assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program, resulting in employee and guest safety, orderly operations, compliance with legislative standards and company expectations
