JOB TITLE: Temporary General Operator (Multiple position) 18 year or older

DEPARTMENT: Processing/Packaging

We are currently recruiting temporary General Operator at the McCain Foods Complex in Grand Falls, New Brunswick. If you are interested in challenging yourself and getting hands on experience with a global organization, please consider applying. Must be 18 year old or older.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for following all safety requirements.
• Material handling of 25 kg boxes and bags.
• Responsible for following production line change over policy and requirements.
• Responsible for some sanitation and housekeeping duties
• Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
• Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).
• Follow Job Hazard Analyses (JHA’s), Lock Out and Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
• Dealing with operational and maintenance issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
• Participate in Team meetings, as required.
• Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
• All additional duties as they become assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School, Community College or University Student (Must be 18 years old or older)
• Basic computer skills an asset
• Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
• Team player with excellent attendance
• Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
• Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
• Willing to work shift work; nights and weekends.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first” on a continual basis.
