Shippers pick orders, receive orders, stock racking and pick faces, and operate pallet trucks and forklifts.

Duties:

• Keep Pick-line stocked at all times.
• Confirm all picking items and only ship undamaged product.
• Responsible for proper date rotation of ALL Pick Line items.
• Receive and warehouse outside purchased items.
• Complete all necessary paperwork to finalize the receiving of products; verifying blind receiver, completing purchase order receipts, and identifying errors in receipt of goods.
• Record and distribute paperwork to supervisory and office staff.
• Check all products received for damage.
• Carry out good communication skills with all transportation representatives, internal and external.
• Demonstrate full competency in operating dock levelers, forklift and pallet trucks.
• Must be able to follow wash up procedures including manual washing procedures (conveyors, palletizers, pallet wrapper), washing floors and removal of garbage.
• Unload or load trailers with empty cases as necessary.
• Responsible for proper date rotation of ALL Pick Line items.
• Maintain a clean orderly work area at all times.
• Assist other workers to complete tasks as needed to maintain efficiencies.
• Communicate with Production to ensure an adequate supply of product is delivered to the cooler to prevent shortages.
• Carry out any other tasks that may be assigned by the Managers, Supervisors, Quality Control as needed.

Requirements:

• Bending, twisting
• Pallet Jack and forklift certification preferred
• Some heavy lifting (ability to lift a minimum weight of 32 kg on a continuing basis)
• Ability to train others and give proper guidance
• Have good knowledge of all operations of shipping.
• Strong computer skills
• Strong communication skills

This is part-time position. Candidate must be available for different shifts.
