Job Summary:
Perform snow removal duties with focus on quality and timely execution. Operate heavy duty pick up trucks and loaders with mounted snow plows and salters in a safe and productive manner. Record keeping of work completed, equipment inspections, and service logs. Will be working mostly independently or with a team on more severe weather events.
Essential Job Functions:
Plowing, snow removal, and salting of Grouse Mountain parking lots, roadways, and surrounding areas.
Operating various types of vehicles including pickup trucks, forklift, skid steer, and/or backhoe loader.
Safe operation of all plow vehicles, salters, and heavy machinery in adverse conditions.
General maintenance of all plow trucks, plows, and salters.
Shoveling and removal of snow from all public areas, walkways, and stairs.
Record keeping.
Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications, Abilities, and Working Conditions
Available to be on call for evenings and overnight shifts as required.
Must be punctual, reliable, and responsible.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be organized and possess a strong work ethic.
Successful team contributor and able to work independently.
Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Plow equipment / heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
Clean driver’s abstract.
Minimum Class 5 Driver’s Licence
