Job Details

Start: As soon as possible

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Mon – Friday 6AM – 10PM

Wage: $22.00/hour

Location: 81 Bay Street, Toronto ON

Job Summary

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction is achieved. As the main point of contact for guests, you will provide superior customer service and resolve guest challenges.

As a Guest Services Agent, you will:

  • Complete the registration/check-in process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system confirming pertinent information
  • Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statement. Properly accounts for services provided by the hotel
  • Assist guests with check out payments or charges. Accepts and records vouchers, credit, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment
  • Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • Provide guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities
  • Receive special requests from guests, and respond appropriately or forward requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions
  • Promptly answer the telephone and email inquiries. Retrieves and forwards messages to/from guests. Retrieve mail, packages and facsimiles or other special items for customers as requested
  • Field and resolve guest complaints or escalate for resolution to appropriate department
  • Assist guests in emergency situations
  • Maintain adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk
  • Perform any special assignment deemed by Guest Services manager, or Manager on duty

About you:

  • Previous Guest Service experience is an asset but not required
  • Able to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to fluently speak, read, write and understand English
  • Able to maintain professional standards while multi-tasking in an extremely busy environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the city, including local events, restaurants, shopping and attractions
  • Able to communicate with guests in a confident and pleasing manner in a variety of situations
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Must be a team player but able to work independently
  • Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
