As a HSE Coordinator for our Toronto office in Oakville, Ontario you will contribute to our team by:

• Assisting with the implementation of project safety and regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.
• Identifying and conducting project-specific safety training.
• Reviewing project-specific information and statistics to develop trends and action plans.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of hazard identification tools.
• Conducting project safety inspections.
• Supervising trade contractor safety compliance.
• Assisting with any incident investigations.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all partners.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

• Postsecondary diploma/degree in OH&S.
• Holds safety designation such as NCSO or CHST.
• Direct experience in a health and safety role in a related industry.
• Knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Ability to implement safety processes and mentor others.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships.
• Strong aptitude for embracing new technology.
• Personal transportation to travel to local job sites is necessary.
