Job description: We’re looking for an in-office Western Canada Recruiter in the industrial transportation industry.

Our client is a well respected and growing international company with Canadian operations. The Recruiter role will be responsible for high volume full cycle recruitment by building strong relationships and travelling to sites throughout Western Canada. This role can be based in Edmonton or Calgary.

Western Canada Recruiter responsibilities:

  • Creates a deep and diverse talent pool to service multiple districts
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand business requirements and develop a strategic hiring plan
  • Spearheads full cycle high volume recruitment by also utilizing social media, events and other avenues for attracting talent for Western Canada
  • Prioritizes and manages a high volume of resumes and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Plays an integral role in the company’s recruitment and staffing strategy
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Maintains candidate databases using ATS and HRIS software
  • Full cycle recruitment with internal department heads and hiring managers, attends and/or conducts interviews, and coaches and guides interviewers
  • Maintains strong communication throughout recruitment processes to ensure a smooth candidate experience as a main point of contact
  • Conducts reference checks, document coordination for applications, and applicable background checks
  • Attends networking events, hiring fairs, and other applicable events to gain exposure and promote the company brand

The successful candidate has:

  • 4+ years of full cycle, high volume recruitment experience within the industrial, logistics or transportation industries
  • A degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources or a related field is an asset
  • Experience with HRIS systems or a CRM is an asset
  • Experience with Workday or another ATS is an asset
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite skills are a must, including excel
  • Proven knowledge and application of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and meeting deadlines
  • A committed and go getter mentality, being a team player
  • Valid G licence for travel and access to own vehicle
  • Ability to travel 25% of the role to various sites
  • Potential to travel to the U.S for company conferences and celebrations is an asset but not required

Compensation and benefits:

  • The discussed salary range is $70, 000 – $80, 000 depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
