Job Details
Position Title: Hospitality Receiving Technician, RPT
Status: Regular part-time permanent
Hours: up to 24 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Longo Faculty of Business
Campus/Location: North Campus
Pay Range: EPEW – Band 5 ($23.84)
What you will do:
The Hospitality Receiving Technician supports the service operations of the Receiving Department and Culinary/Baking Labs at Humber College. Some key responsibilities would include:
- Breakdown returned food wagons, check quality of products and discard any compromised food products
- Conduct end-of-day reset for culinary/baking labs. Maintain par stocks of cleaning supplies, paper goods and food products on a daily basis.
- Restocking equipment to ensure accurate par levels. Small wares inventory/control/organization.
- Conduct equipment functionality quality check and follow-up with lab maintenance Coordinator for any deficiencies. Submit a work order, if required.
- Deliver and pick up special equipment to and from lab/service area
- Repair reporting and follow-up with lab Maintenance Coordinator
- Assist with wagon building
- Perform data entry into FoodTrak Software. Input invoices, and prepare costing reports.
- Ensuring the receiving area is clean
- Assist with receiving goods
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
Education
Minimum one-year certificate in a Culinary Program or equivalent
Experience & Skills
One-year practical work experience related to the environment, which demonstrates knowledge of Health and Safety and Food safety regulations.
