MATRIX is seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join our team in sunny Osoyoos, British Columbia. Located in the beautiful South Okanagan. Reporting directly to our HR Director, and taking additional task instruction from our Recruitment Specialist, this position will provide critical internal support, in systems process design, file management and maintenance, as well as assist with HR project support and business process improvement.

Duties:
- Helps administer benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Works with payroll to ensure all ROE and CRA filings are completed and in place,
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background and reference checking.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with recruitment process. Tracks status of candidates in ATS and responds with follow-up communication at the end of the recruiting process.
- Assist with building and maintaining pre-screened Talent Pool
- Assists in our social media advertising, news, and marketing as requested,
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
- Assist with pre-access D&A testing, and Criminal Record Checks
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new-employee files.
- Processes mail.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- At least two years related experience required.
- CPHR credential preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
