Position Title: Instructional Designer – FHSW – TPT
Hours per Week: 24 hours

Salary: Min $23.66/hr – Max $36.41/hr
What you will do:
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the design, development and deployment of innovative online and hybrid courses in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness. Working with content experts, the incumbent will use evidence-informed instructional design as well as emerging delivery methods to engage and assess diverse learners in innovative and creative ways. The incumbent will collaborate with content experts to build online components within Humber’s learning management system according to the Humber Online Course Development and Design Standards.
Works closely with the Associate Dean, Program Coordinators and faculty content experts to design and develop online and hybrid courses based on learner-centered teaching practices, current teaching methodologies, and Humber expectations and standards (in development by Online Course Review Committee). Upgrades own knowledge of best practices to make recommendations to ensure all online courses (including assessment methodologies) are best-in-class. Works with Humber library staff to ensure that materials linked in the site adhere to copyright standards required by the college. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the role:
- A three-year diploma or degree in a discipline related to learning design or instructional development.
- A minimum of 3 years of work-related experience with relevant information technology, web design and educational design experience is required along with a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and work experience in adult teaching practices, methodologies and online design and instruction.
- Creativity, comfort with ambiguity, a sense of play and future thinking are valued mindsets.
