British Columbia’s Natural Resource Ministries (NRM) are the stewards of the Province’s Crown land and natural resources which reflect the diverse values and interests of all British Columbians. In order to support the growth of the economy while providing effective environmental stewardship, the province’s NRM must transform in order to advance the shared management of British Columbia’s natural resources.

The Information, Innovation and Technology (IIT) Division is leading the modernization and transformation of business practices for the NRM through continuous improvement projects, new technology options and operational information management/information technology (IM/IT). The IIT Division is providing leadership for IM/IT planning, policy and business process solutions and is also the single authority for all information and technology across the NRM.

To plan and manage service design related to infrastructure technology solutions across multiple platforms, program areas and a variety of systems environments. This position will be part of a service design team that will work with clients on education, awareness, behavioural insights and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree or diploma in Service Design, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
  • Training and/or experience specializing in one of the following: design research, information architecture, content strategy, interaction design or prototyping.

Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:

  • Experience in client engagement related to planning and implementation of service design projects.
  • Experience in developing and defining standards, guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience in training and supporting implementation of standards and tools.
  • Experience in providing technical advice to management on implementation recommendations for meeting business requirements.
  • Experience conducting co-design workshops with staff and end users to generate insight from diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile Teams
