The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a Lead REACH Technician at the Child CTH to perform intermediate skilled human support work maintaining the safety of clients, monitoring clients with special needs, facilitating educational groups, teaching clients coping skills, promoting independent living skills by assisting clients with laundry care and meal preparation, encouraging clients to adhere to treatment requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned. Conducts a quality review of all clinical notes and documentation. Provides supervision and training as needed to the REACH Technician Team. Assists with team scheduling and serves as a liaison between the REACH Technician Team and the Leadership staff. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the REACH CTH Supervisor.

Essential Functions

Models for REACH Technician Team clinical service delivery and professionalism.

Monitors and assists the REACH Technician team with aiding clients in activities of daily living.

Administer medications in accordance with all regulatory bodies.

Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the unit is maintained.

Ensures all clinical documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory standards for each shift.

Completes shift reports.

Ensure documentation is in accordance with medication administration requirements.

Maintains organized programming areas and kitchen.

Coordinates discharges in full consultation with the Clinical team.

Completes discharge summaries in a timely manner.

Supports admission processes.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelors required/Master’s preferred; moderate experience in clinical documentation, working with people with mental illness and co-occurring disorders, and group facilitation required.

Must meet criteria as a QDDP and a QMHP-A

One year of experience in I/DD, including programming for individuals with significant behavioral needs

Special Requirements

Ability to work 2-3 midday shifts per week to provide staff supervision as needed/required.

Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Must be available to participate in 24/7/365 supervisory on-call rotation for the REACH CTH.

Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Starting Salary Range 21.35/hour plus 6.25% differential.
