Position Highlights

The Leader, Clinical Information Systems, Mental Health & Substance Use Services leads the identification, planning and implementation of information systems solutions to support the long term strategic plan for the assigned portfolio with Fraser Health.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and analyse present and future business system needs and priorities; make recommendations regarding information requirements, design, functionality, usage and integration with manual and automated systems.
  • Assess the capability of systems to accommodate organizational or process changes; determine the impact of change on related system/staff resources; and make recommendations.
  • Develop plans, in conjunction with Planning Systems Development and Clinical Services Planning & Delivery Team(s), for system implementation, including the determination of appropriate staff resources.
  • Consult to clinical disciplines and stakeholders within assigned business area by identifying and developing solutions which support the long term strategic plan.
  • Liaise with business process leaders to identify current workflow processes and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate systems and related processes to ensure business needs are met, and to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operation.
  • Undertake needs assessments and participate in the development and compilation of clinical, statistical and financial information for administrative and regulatory requirements as required.
  • Supervise and oversee staff within portfolio including performance management.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing or Allied Health disciplines, Health Information Science, Health Science
  • Three (3) years clinical experience
  • Three (3) years recent related experience with project management and process re-training in Health Care, including experience with Meditech and other related applications.

This regular full time position is based at our Central City offices in Surrey, BC, with access to rapid transit, shopping, restaurants, on-site gym and other amenities.
