The Innisfail Health Centre has an Acute Care department with 28 beds, Emergency Department with 10 beds and we also have an Ophthalmology/OR department. The town has 2 large grocery stores, several restaurants, gas stations, banks, various businesses, churches, several schools, an arena, curling rink, and swimming pool. Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:
1-3 years experience with Day Surgery, PACU, pre/post op care. 1-3 years experience with cataract and plastic surgeries. IV medication direct administration course. Ability to work within a team environment and independently. Ability to assist with preadmission cataract phone calls. Ability to assist with minor outpatient procedures and maintain sterile technique. Preferred Qualifications:
