As an independent gasoline retailer and supplier, Wilsons Gas Stops operates its own service stations and distributes fuel to dealers in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. Wilsons Gas Stops operates 79 company service stations, 13 Wilsons Gas Stops and 66 Esso stations. We have a number of locations that include a food service partner. We are looking for a Line Cook with a desire to provide exceptional customer service to customers to join our team. JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the store manager, the Line Cook will be in charge of prepping and preparing menu items to recipe specifications while simultaneously ensuring that health and safety regulations are being followed. Other responsibilities include serving customers on a POS system and daily store maintenance; unpacking and stocking merchandise, store cleaning (inside and outside), counting products and cash floats, as well as other store specific duties.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare food
- Cash Handling, use of POS System and Inventory Monitoring/Balancing
- Clean and sanitize kitchen area and appliances
- Stock inventory and ensure diner is well stocked
- Abide by all policies, procedures, operational guidelines and government regulations
- Any task required by management in order to run the business efficiently

EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS
- Food and beverage experience not required but is an asset
- Food Handlers Safety certification not required but is an asset
- Emergency First aid certification not required but is an asset
