Your opportunity:

Reporting tothe Program Manager, Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Administrator is responsible for assisting with frontline and administrative tasks for the MFC Scholars Program, as well as coordinating communicationand event needs. The communications responsibilities include maintaining and updating social media platforms, as well as writing, gathering and editing content for the MFC Program newsletter and other publications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Creating and updating records
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of promotional/outreach materials
  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Providing detailed information to students on program logistics

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of recent and related administrative experience, preferably in a post-secondary or research-intensive institution.
  • Experience providing senior level administrative support including administering a busy and complex calendar; preparing and monitoring schedules and keeping participants up to date with upcoming projects, events and deadlines.
  • Experience drafting, editing and preparing a variety of written documentation and communications, including the ability to concisely summarize information and prepare original correspondence.
  • Experience with event logistics, including the use of scheduling software and online platforms to assist in the logistics of organizing meetings and events.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking initiative to conceptualize and organize event activities.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive) and Sharepoint.
  • Advanced skills with online video/audio conferencing applications (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Effective and professional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to adapt to new and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong client service orientation and experience fostering equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of social and multimedia platforms, channels, trends, and capabilities.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:

USW Pay Band 10 — $69,455 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $88,819. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
