Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this individual is responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operating condition of material handling equipment and related batteries.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of materials handling equipment including electrical and mechanical systems for forklifts, power jacks, scissor lifts, automatic scrubbers, and MHE batteries.
  • Develops and implements schedules with the Maintenance Manager for inspections and preventative programs using the SPROCKET CMMS program.
  • Maintains records related to duties performed and equipment serviced within the SPROCKET CMMS program.
  • Ensures that waste and byproducts of the operating company are disposed according to Occupational safety, local health board authorities and Alberta Environmental protection (i.e. waste oil).
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
  • Comply with all Food Safety and Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Successful completion of high school.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience related to repairing and maintaining Material Handling Equipment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and time management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
