Job description: Job Summary:

• Achieve Department and personal objectives for the Year.
• Continued nurturing of the relationship and growth of existing and new customers.
• Ensuring Ocean Imports is functioning consistently with ITN values, strategies, and objectives.
• Keeping Customers informed with booking confirmations and pre-alerts.
• Arrange collection and transportation of goods with overseas agents.
• Communicating shipment updates and pick-ups with overseas agents.
• Issuance of manifest, delivery request, and releases.
• Preparing profit share calculations and negotiating rates with carriers and related vendors.
• Ensuring billing and collections are done in a timely and systematic manner.
• The continued nurturing of the ITN Brand as a quality, consumer-centric, timely company that delivers against its value proposition.

Required Education and Qualifications:

• Should have CIFFA – Level I and II certification.
• 2 years+ of experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding.
• Knowledge of Cargowise software is an asset.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Good knowledge of the Logistics industry and the key players within the industry nationally and globally.
• Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively.
• Good organizational skills together with the ability to prioritize functions.
• The ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
• Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff, and to be able to manage high-pressure or crisis situations calmly.
• Knowledge of Ocean freight operation, documentation, regulations, and equipment.
