PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (420) – TECHNICAL SUPPORT, INTERNET PROGRAMMING AND DEVELOPMENT, NETWORK ADMINISTRATION AEC, MOBILE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT AEC, FULL STACK DEVELOPER AND NETWORK ADMINISTRATION AEC

Required Qualifications

COMPUTER SCIENCE (420)

• Bachelor’s or equivalent* degree in Computer Science

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be considered

• Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional/industrial experience

• Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred

• Knowledge of JAVA and JavaScript AN ASSET

• Demonstrated ability in the development of mobile applications (Android and/or IOS) AN ASSET

• Knowledge of C# and ASP.NET AN ASSET

• Excellent English communication skills essential

• Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR COURSES WILL APPLY AS PER MINIMUM HIRING CRITERIA

Note: In accordance with art. 4-4.04 of the Collective Agreement, the Selection Committee may, exceptionally, recommend to the College that pertinent additional professional and/or industrial experience be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirement. Candidates to be considered under this option must have completed at least the equivalent of a DEC or AEC. Education superior to the stated minimum requirement may be substituted for professional/industrial experience at the discretion of the selection committee.
