We are currently looking for an optometrist to work part-time or full-time. We are a modern and progressive optical that delivers Comprehensive Eye Care, Vision Therapy, Dry Eye Treatments and eyewear products to patients.

We are open from Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am-6 pm with one late closure of 7 pm once per week at this time. We are seeking to add an optometrist to either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday.

Please only apply if you are certified by the Ontario Optometric Board to practice Optometric care in Canada.

Optometrist Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease.
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
• Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
• Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice.

Optometrist Qualifications/Skills:

• Applied understanding of general principles of optometry and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of eye-related disorders and conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• General computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and multitasking ability.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active Ontario optometry license.
• Two-plus years of optometrist experience is preferred but will consider new graduates as well.
• We are an EyeRecommend Clinic and will work with new graduates to obtain the bonus they have set up.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent.

Salary: From $100,000.00 per year.
