Job title: Part-Time Academic (MUSC 3061/3661.03: Electroacoustic Music)

Job description: This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of one section of MUSC 3061/3661.03; Electroacoustic Music, from January 1 to April 30, 2022. This position is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of equipment and materials in the Electroacoustic Studio as specifically related to these classes. The instructor is required to provide a Method of Assessment. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.

Due to the current Covid-19 outbreak and ongoing extensions to social distance protocols, Dalhousie University may elect to move this course online. Experience with teaching in an online environment is required. All instructors hired to teach online will be supported by Dalhousie’s Centre for Learning and Teaching, and Academic Technology Services (support@dal.ca), to deliver their courses online. Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music; proven experience in the creative and aesthetic aspects of music technology as well as a successful teaching record in this field.
