Job description: Our client, is a well-established Heavy Lift and Specialized Transport company with a diverse fleet of mobile and crawler cranes, SPMTs, and other specialized transport and lifting equipment with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and several other branches around Atlantic Canada and the United States.
They are currently seeking applicants for the position of PILE DRIVING AND DRILLING SUPERVISOR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out and pursue business opportunities through existing and potential customers
- Follow up with customers to ensure job requirements are being met in a timely fashion
- Prepare, or assist in preparing, quotes, pricing, & estimates in consultation with Branch Manager
- Enforce company policies to ensure work is done safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret site drawings and specifications
- Experience working in a Union environment is an asset
- Overseeing all related work functions and scope of the project
- Direct on-site sub-contractors, material and equipment suppliers and vendors on a daily basis
- Supervise employees and coordinate work for crane moves with logistics and operations
- Coordinate day to day activities and on-site functions
- Responsible for the safety and management of employees on the job site
- Manage job costs and budgets
- Maintain daily reports, journals and other related site documentation
- Prepare and execute toolbox talks, hazards assessments, and daily safety meetings
- Provide coaching and mentoring
- Prioritize tasks and workforce to meet schedules and project requirements
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with local by-laws, provincial and federal legislation, and company environmental and safety policies and requirements
Qualifications:
- Education Required: College Diploma in Engineering Technology, or University Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and deep foundation industry
- Demonstrate a history of strong leadership
- Strong organizational skills, coordinating and scheduling of work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication is a requirement
- Travel shall be required throughout Atlantic Canada
- Weekend work will be required on occasion
- Possible on call rotation
