Job Description
MLSE is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting and energetic product analyst to join our Strategy & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on data analysis, data management, and product experience in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Our Strategy & Analytics team acts as internal consultants and partners with teams across our business to drive data-based decision-making while supporting them in achieving their business objectives. Whether predicting future trends, measuring historical performance, or analyzing customer behaviors, each day will be new and challenging. As a Product Analyst, you will support the Product team in understanding their user base, user behavior, and with KPI reporting for various digital products. You will communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and support product strategy. As a Product Analyst, you will not only be responsible for reporting on key metrics, but performing deep dive analyses to explain the “why” behind the numbers and will recommend opportunities to improve.
The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, coupled with expertise to apply data analysis to business decisions. Mission critical skills are the ability to frame business problems, collect user requirements and analyze data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to collect, process, and analyze large data sets and product data.
- Liaise with the Product Management, Product Design and Engineering teams to define metrics and source the data for each metric
- Collaborate with the product team in establishing KPIs and targets for digital products and their features
- Create and own dashboards in Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI to support the product team in capturing key business metrics
- Perform additional analysis and deep dives to understand the ‘”why” behind product and metric performance and , Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in user behavior and product usage.
- Monitor and report on key product performance metrics, including user engagement, retention, and conversion rates.
- Gain a deep understanding of user behavior through funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and segmentation.
- Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize product features, user interfaces, and conversion funnels.
- Regularly present key insights to stakeholders and business partners, recommend solutions and support key business decisions
- Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Performing business requirements and project management responsibilities as required
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and A/B testing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with web and mobile analytics tools (e.g., Tradable Bits and Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude) is a plus.
- Business casing and financial modelling an asset to understand ROI on emerging digital products
- Team first, positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
- Excellent communication skills and able to explain complex insights to a non-technical audience
