Your opportunity:

The Centre for Entrepreneurship is building its co-curricular programs and events portfolio to support students, alumni and faculty by offering entrepreneurial skills development sessions, experiential programs and signature events. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator (Co-Curricular Programming) will support the design, delivery and execution of signature programs, events, and skills development sessions that align with the strategic priorities of the Centre. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for: planning the Centre’s entrepreneurship programs and eventscalendar; working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver co-curricular programs, events and training workshops; determining, administering, and resolving logistics for events and programs; facilitating skills workshops and events; serving as the first point of contact for program and event-related queries; conducting evaluations, generating reports, and liaising with management to determine goals and priorities; building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance, including faculty, alumni and external partners; ensuring timely communications and follow-ups with participants; overseeing the collection of data and interpretation of stakeholder engagement strategies; drafting communications and promoting programs/events; managing expenses for programs and events; implementing plans and process improvements for programs and events; keeping well informed on entrepreneurship educational and experiential trends; assigning and checking the work ofstudent ambassadors.

The Program Coordinator (Co-curricular Programming) will utilize excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the team and helping to achieve theCentre’s vision and goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
  • Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
  • Promoting experiential learning opportunities
  • Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Interpreting and applying policies and procedures when making independent decisions
  • Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students
  • Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, business administration, careers education or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years experience of related experience in designing and delivering co-curricular activities in a higher education setting required
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and executing small to major events involving multiple stakeholders such as, conferences, receptions, and workshops required.
  • Experience determining the logistical details and activities for virtual, hybrid and in-person events and/or programming including processing registrations, preparing itineraries, confirming room bookings and speakers, arranging catering, resolving issues that may occur during events, conducting post-event evaluation and analysis and performing other event related duties required.
  • Experience designing and delivering skills-based workshops to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with student-focused event planning, promotion, and execution.
  • Experience supporting the development of co-curricular activities.
  • Experience working with and advising students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience advising student groups.
  • Experience writing content for promotions and executing outreach strategies.
  • Demonstrated time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and organize work, and meet tight deadlines while able to pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge and understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Knowledge and/or experience in designing co-curricular planning applicable to developing an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in delivering entrepreneurial professional skills training to a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Asana, and social media platforms.
