Job description: As a non-profit organization that is responsive to both industry and community needs, Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre (STSC) delivers short-term trades and skills training to young adults, leading to entry-level jobs where workers are in high demand.
The STSC Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, direction and implementation of all STSC programs in alignment with the organizations strategic plan to ensure successful delivery and positive outcomes for all stakeholders in our community.
Summary of Duties:
– Management of all STSC job coaches and instructors
– Setting quality control standards and tracking implementation
– Planning, tracking, and reporting on outputs and outcomes
– Strategic overview and reporting on all programs to senior management
– Developing and management of inventory control systems
– Applying change, risk and resource management principles when needed
– Liaison with STSC industry and business partnerships
– Monitoring and assessment of labour market trends/opportunities
– Information and logistics management
– Other duties assigned by the Executive Director
Requirements:
– Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques
– Experience in providing employment support services to a diverse client group
– Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals and cultures
– Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
– Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
– Strong leadership and management skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Familiarity with trades and apprenticeship opportunities in Saskatchewan
– Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques
– Post Secondary Education in Business or PMP Certification an asset
