We are looking for a Program Officer to support the NRC IRAP Vice President’s Office (VPO) where you will be part of a team providing support to the IRAP Vice President, executive secretariat, planning and reporting, internal engagement and various other functions for the delivery of NRC IRAP. University degree in business, communications, public administration or another discipline related to the duties of the position.

Essential Experience

  • Experience in developing procedures, processes and guidance material related to the administration and operations of programs, and delivering training on them.
  • Experience in giving advice and recommendations to managers on complex programming or situations of a highly sensitive nature.
  • Experience in researching special issues raised by stakeholders (such as allegations of fraud, discrimination, malfeasance, etc.), synthesizing information, and preparing proposed responses on behalf of Senior Executives (Vice-President or Assistant Deputy Minister and above) and/or Politicians.
  • Experience managing Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) and Parliamentary requests, including identifying and soliciting documents from implicated parties, and proposing redactions based on a thorough understanding of ATIP Policies and Guidelines.
  • Experience in organizing logistics of large-scale (over 50 participants) hybrid events, including catering, accommodations, facilities, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Experience using electronic document management systems (e.g. SharePoint), including management of access control to sensitive information
  • Experience taking notes during senior leadership meetings, and preparing complete, accurate and clear formal meeting minutes in a timely fashion

A combination of College diploma, training, and significant experience may be acceptable.

Salary under review

From $69,087 to $81,221 per annum.
