Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Civil Construction Project Coordinator to join their team. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist in coordinating project resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Monitor project progress and report any deviations from the plan.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Generate and distribute project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain project files and records.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications with project teams to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Address and resolve project-related issues and inquiries.

Quality and Safety Compliance:

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with industry regulations.

Budget Management:

  • Track project expenses and assist in managing project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and communicate them to project managers.
  • Review invoices and contracts for accuracy and completeness.

Procurement and Supply Chain:

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring materials and equipment for projects.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may affect project timelines or budgets.
  • Work with project managers to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and monitor risk management plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a project coordinator or similar role in civil construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and construction industry best practices.
