Job description: You’re a student currently enrolled in a field related to Project Management and General Contracting, and post-graduation, you already know your career path – you’re a builder.

You’re hungry for exposure to full-cycle project management experience with a General Contractor. After you graduate, you’ll be a Project Coordinator, a Project Manager, an Estimator. You’re not looking to “test the waters” and see if construction is for you – you already know, it’s in your DNA.

You’re available for a full-time, 12 month internship starting in May 2021, and you’re living in the lower mainland area right now and available for in-person interviews.

What You’ll Do:

• Get on-site! Work side by side our team of passionate Project Managers, Superintendents and self-perform crews.
• Estimating & Quantity Take-Offs – Get exposure to the full-cycle estimating process.
• Project document control – Learn RFIs, change orders and more.
• Contract documents and construction drawings – Learn how to read them.
• Client management skills – Participate in meetings with clients.
• Project scheduling and planning – Support Project Managers with project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Work experience and/or co-op experience with a General Contractor strongly preferred.
• Some experience with project control software applications, including AutoCAD, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada.
