McElhanney Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong communication skills to join our Kamloops office. In this role, you will join a great team of professionals in our Transportation division which provides comprehensive services in project management, construction supervision and all aspects of planning and design for roadways and structures and you will work 4 days per week. This position is ideal for an individual looking to advance their career into project management while providing leadership and oversight to the project delivery process.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with Government organizations, with a focus to BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
- Facilitate the successful delivery of our client’s projects of varying scale and complexity
- Strong level of ownership of project tasks and maintaining the best interests of the client
- Lead project team meetings, and implement Ministry Project Management Plans
- Project Tracking, scope management, monthly reporting, monthly financial reporting, risk reviews, cost estimation, tender & contract document preparation
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders on behalf of our clients using established engagement processes
- Travel will be required from time to time
What You’ll Bring
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to build and manage relationships with numerous clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in related field discipline or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution with at least 5 years of related and progressive experience
- Ministry of Transportation or other government project management experience is strongly desired
- IAP2, PMP or other PMI certification an asset
- General knowledge and understanding in a specific field of engineering, such as structural, roadways, or municipal to provide technical coordination and leadership
- Strong computer (Microsoft Office, MS Project, PowerPoint), technical writing and presentation skills
- High productivity, attention to detail, and an ability to work well in a team environment are essential
