About our Client
Our client, an exciting and cutting-edge technology start-up, is looking for a temporary part-time Accounting Assistant to join their fantastic Vancouver team for an approximately six-week assignment. The assignment starts on August 5th, and the days of work are Wednesday to Friday. This position is largely remote, with the occasional day in the office for training or to complete a task that cannot be done remotely. In return, the employer is offering an hourly wage that is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
– Process all accounts payable/ receivable functions and general accountant transactions
– Reconcile accounts and prepare adjustment information
– Data entry and management
– Invoicing and cheque runs
– Makes adjustment to billing information and processes payments
– Other duties as required by the accounting team
Qualifications
– 1+ years of related accounting/ bookkeeping experience is preferred
– Post secondary education with accounting focus is required
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to work well with others effectively.
– Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
– Superior attention to detail
– Proven ability to multitask at a high level and prioritize responsibilities
– Have a can-do and upbeat attitude
– Enjoy working with a team, but can also excel on your own
