Job description: Introducing an exciting new role with Calian’s client in Chalk River, the Records Management Administrator is a flexible role with opportunities to work onsite and remote (occasional onsite requirements).

Working as part of Calian’s Nuclear Engineering team, the Records Management Administrator will work closely with Canadian Nuclear Labs’ information services.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Convert hard-copy documents to electronic and capture in records management system;
• Verify the quality of scans meet expected quality before capturing them in the records management system
• Process requests to change the security classification on documents
• Generate lists of expired records to obtain disposition, and apply changes to the records management system
• Circulate lists of expired records to obtain disposition, and apply changes to the records management system
• Conduct searches through electronic and hard-copy inventories to find and locate records requested by employees
• Facilitate the quality verification and shipment of hardcopy records to offsite storage facility
• Adjust access permissions in EDMS as requested by employees, ensuring need to know and obtain appropriate approvals

The qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Enhanced Reliability security clearance
• 3 or more years’ direct experience in records management, at the administrative or clerical level
• Ability to work on-site in Chalk River at least occasionally
