The company specializes in the remediation of contaminated sites and the rehabilitation of drinking water pipes. Our client is looking for a Regional Director – Operations and Business Development to join their dynamic team.

This position is located in Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Working closely with the current team, your new responsibilities :
Active participation and implementation of the organizational strategy and business development of the regional office;
Integration of the services offered by the company in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Eastern Ontario;
Supervise, supervise and ensure the efficiency of the operational logistics of environmental and vegetation projects (materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors, etc.);
Coordinate the regional office with the company’s head office;
Analyze tender documents and prepare bids for vegetation, civil, restoration, stabilization, seeding, mining and other related fields;
Make site visits during the bidding period, to develop solutions for our clients and during construction;
Prepare preliminary work schedules;
Follow budgets, purchase orders and invoicing;
Ensure the application of the health and safety plan during the work;
Use computer tools and databases related to project management;
Periodically assist other team members in the estimation of additional work or any other related estimation tasks;
Participate in internal start-up meetings to share all information relevant to the specifications to ensure the smooth running of the project and its profitability.

You have strong qualifications:
Have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience as a project manager;
Technical training in environment, civil engineering, or equivalent training in the mining field;
Any other combination of relevant experience and education;
Possess a valid driver’s license;
Knowledge of the site;
Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite;
Have a good command of French and English (oral and written) is an asset.
