At TWD Technologies, we are seeking a highly motivated Regional General Manager to join our Burnaby, BC team!

Job Summary

The Regional General Manager (RGM) BC provides strategic and operational leadership to a multi-discipline infrastructure and energy team and works with Corporate Office and Regional Business Development (BD) to effectively manage and expand customer relationships while cultivating new business opportunities for design engineering, project management and prime consulting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with regional project managers, project engineers and discipline leads to further grow and develop the regional business
  • Work with business development to effectively manage and expand existing customer relationships
  • Work with Corporate team members (Corporate Engineering/Project Management, Document Control, Quality, Finance, HR, etc.) to support local activity and achieve successful regional business outcomes
  • Accountable to achieve regional business targets (e.g. sales, revenue, gross/net margin)
  • Ensure project results and learnings are accurately captured in new project proposals through TWD’s PERFORM program
  • Work with Business Development to pursue project opportunities with clients
  • Lead and/or participate in presentations for new opportunities acting as an experienced voice representing TWD experience and expertise
  • Lead and motivate regional staff to develop and support a collaborative and communicative structure
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to regional leaders and staff to ensure implementation and compliance to company policy, process, tools and systems
  • Work with Corporate Leadership Team to establish, implement and achieve the corporate strategic goals for the region
  • Lead functional strategic and business planning processes and develops plans and budgets to drive the departments activities
  • Lead performance review process for direct reports and support the process, as applicable for other team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related experience
  • A Professional Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • Experience in Infrastructure and Building Design, Transportation and Traffic Engineering, consulting, energy related projects would be an asset
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the delivery of complex, multi-discipline projects ideally in the noted areas of experience
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage change and to inspire and motivate others to perform
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • An effective problem solver with the ability to think through projects, programs and proposals to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively
