Position Overview:
The Crisis Nurse provides assessment, triage, treatment/discharge planning, crisis intervention and immediate trauma support to patients in psychiatric or psychosocial crisis in the Emergency Department and the Urgent Care Clinic as part of the Mental Health Program. They will work alongside with ED Physician as well as in consultation with a Psychiatrist.

- Membership in good standing with the College of Nurses.
- Five years of experience working in acute Mental Health.
- Minimum 3 years Crisis ED experience
- Advanced crisis assessment, high-risk screening, knowledge of community resources and the Mental Health Act.
- Crisis Intervention Experience/CPI certification
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Addictions
- Ability to rapidly change workload priorities
- Demonstrates excellence in communication both written and verbal.
- Analysis/Problem assessment
- Innovative and willing to learn
- Commitment to positive patient experience
Salary: $37.93-54.37 Per Hour
