Join our team of skilled frontline staff on the COVID-19 vaccination team. This Registered Nurse position is to support the Immunization Services and Rapid Response teams which includes the 2021/22 Zone Influenza Program and COVID immunization clinics and outreach sites. With over four million Albertans to vaccinate in the coming year, we need your help to ensure our population is protected against COVID-19. You can make a difference in the fight against COVID-19 by using your skills to help with crucial tasks such as vaccine administration and education. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to be self-directed, able to exercise independent decision making, nursing judgment, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. In addition, you will maintain professional relationships with the interdisciplinary team and community partners and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients of various ages and socioeconomic statuses. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Able to lift and carry necessary immunization supplies and equipment, repetitive arm motions and sitting and bending for long periods. Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends. Working knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, Internet access and data entry required. Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience with Community Immunization.
