Job Summary
Revelstoke Mountain Sports School seeks to recruit and retain experienced, attentive and enthusiastic employees to represent the Mountain Sports School as a Level 4 Trainer to deliver a variety of instructor training programs. Our focus is to provide our Guests with a memorable experience at RMR, in a fun and safe learning environment for all participants. RMR is committed to supporting our staff with training and scheduling flexibility to allow staff to attend certification courses.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the AST 1 courses in class and on snow
Follow Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 curriculum, classroom policies and IT policies
Participate in the development of Avalanche Canada/RMR’s AST 1 team and curriculum
Coordinate with snow school desk staff on facilities, materials, equipment preparedness
Required Qualifications and Abilities
Work eligibility in Canada • CAA member in good standing
Completed Avalanche Operations 1
Experience teaching AST 1 courses
Meet the continuing professional development requirements established by the Avalanches Canada
Can produce physical SIN card or valid revenue Canada doc including full SIN number • Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old
