Job title: Senior API Developer

Job description: Adecco is currently recruiting a Senior API Developer. This is a 1-year contract with strong possibility of extension. This role for our government entity Client located in Ottawa, ON. This a part-time (approx. 20-30 hours per week, on call is required). The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for one. This role is a remote role.

The Consultant will have the following responsibilities: * Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Cyber Access Control;

• Play a key role in API Management/Gateway platforms, with focus on Broadcom technologies;
• Define and implement required code and policy changes to address operational problems or new business requirements as well as support problem troubleshooting in staging and production environments. Analyze the current solutions environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for simplification as part of continuous improvements and evergreening activities;
• Resolve complex cross functional technical issues in a timely manner;
• Participate in the planning and execution of testing related to production deployment validation, performance, failover and vulnerabilities remediation, and disaster recovery;
• Provide assistance to junior Bank colleagues;
• Create and maintain operational and end-user documentation.

The Consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements: * A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience with in IAM;

• A minimum of five (5years of experience in a senior technical role for mid to large-size organizations;
• Demonstrated experience designing, building and implementing API Management/Gateway solutions (e.g Layer 7, Apigee, Akana, Mulesoft);
• Demonstrated experience with Broadcom API Gateway (formally known as Layer 7 or CA API Gateway);
• Demonstrated experience with Broadcom LDAP Services and Access Policy Management Application (Broadcom LDAP Directory and SSO, formerly known as Site Manager;
• Demonstrated knowledge of different security implementations including Single Sign-On and delegated access technologies (SAML, Kerberos, OAuth and Open ID Connect);
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic networking, Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP and API design for extensibility and portability as well as XML/JSON data formats;
• Demonstrated knowledge of Salilpoint Identity IQ Lifecycle Manager;
• Demonstrated knowledge of MYSQL DB Servers and Akamai Services (WAF, GRM, Site Shield);
• The Consultant will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to entering Bank premises;
• Demonstrated experience with Agile and DevOps;
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, etc.);
• Demonstrated experience in the banking industry and/or government organizations.
