Job Description
Brief Overview:
The Senior BIM Coordinator reports to the BIM Manager and is responsible to provide an intermediate scheduling and logistic planning support throughout each phase of the project till the project is delivered. The Senior BIM Coordinator needs to interact with site and project team members to maintain the flow of Information realistic in the schedule and logistic plans. We are looking for a construction enthusiastic individual, that has incredible scheduling and logistic planning skills, is knowledgeable in the BIM/VDC technology and is passionate to share knowledge. Our scheduling and BIM department is integrated providing endless possibilities combining both technologies.
The Senior BIM Coordinator is responsible for modeling, 4D creation, clash coordination (2D and 3D) and logistic plans, mentor BIM Specialist, conduct consultant coordination meetings, communicate with site and project management teams for site support and deliverables. This role interacts with multiple levels of CCM team members so teamwork is vital to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and support projects and pursuits in the production of schedules (Primavera Cloud) and logistic planning (AutoCAD, Revit and Fuzor).
- Assist and support projects and pursuits in the production of models along with the analysis, creation, and management of Building Information Models (BIM) and 2D drawings use these processes:
- Data collection
- Model/file management
- Clash detection
- 4D stimulation/schedules
- Renderings
- Animations
- Site logistics plans
- Add in the coordination/creation of site support drawings as required
- Prepare and revise 3D BIM models in Revit and 2D drawings in AutoCAD as required
- Documentation and plotting
- Read and review documents, contracts, drawings, and specifications with the ability to create models from these.
- Review, update, maintain, and develop project schedules in the Primavera Cloud Software.
- Utilize collaboration techniques for information management, implement Building information Modeling (BIM) and integrating models
- Work with scheduling in primavera (training will be provided, but scheduling knowledge is a must)
- Lead and conduct clash coordination meetings
- Train, direct and mentor BIM specialists
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Architectural Technologist, Drafting, Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
- 4-7 years professional experience – with minimum 2-3 years working for a General Contractor or Construction Management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Navisworks.
- Proficiency with scheduling software Primavera Cloud or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to support and guide the team.
- Experienced with clash coordination.
- Ability to set priorities and multi-task.
- Team player and has a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Intermediate knowledge with project logistics, sequencing, and the relationships between different tasks.
