Job description: This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing ICI general contractor and construction management firm, dedicated to light industrial building projects in the Ontario market. The successful candidate will work closely with the owner/client and leadership team supporting all aspects of the execution of a complex ground up new build project in the Hamilton, ON area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Work with executive team and estimator to further develop the budget and scope for the project.

Manage the solicitation of expressions of interest from sub-trades and suppliers.

Oversee the distribution and collection of CCDC 11 from sub-trades.

Work with the estimator and executive teams to communicate with sub-trades from budgeting through tendering stages.

Manage incoming invoices and costs during pre-construction

Assist with payment approvals and processing during pre-construction

Oversee all aspects of construction once the project is underway.

Manage communications with subcontractors in order to prepare site and progress reports

Manage the shop drawing process

Receive sub-trade billings and review and approval of same. * All other duties as required

Join an established General Contractor|Oversee high profile projects

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 10-15 years of progressive experience working with a local market ICI general contractor in a Senior Project Management capacity
• Experience overseeing diversified ICI new build projects, preferably light industrial new build projects, with a focus in food processing and temperature controlled facilities – $5-100M in project value
• Excellent organisational, technology and software application skills
• Collaborative, team oriented, and client facing ability
• Relevant educational background in construction management, engineering or similar program
• PMP, CET, and/or P.Eng are assets

The company has launched their Canadian business, and is looking to secure a Senior Construction Project Manager to join their team.
