Job description: Spark Power, a trusted partner in power in North America, is looking for an Senior Estimator, Construction Projects to join our team. The Senior Estimator, Construction will work closely with the project management and sales team to ensure projects are competitively priced while meeting our high-quality standards.

Here’s what you will you do as an Senior Estimator, Construction Projects:

• Estimate of all projects. This includes construction manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and material.
• Work with CM/TM to build construction schedules and estimation input.
• Delegate estimate/schedule requirements to CM/TM and set reasonable deadlines for completion
• Build detailed construction schedules for projects. Technical manager builds detailed outage plans for more complex projects and construction builds around that for completion.
• Reach out to construction management for review and input.
• Managing estimate submissions for hard bid projects through jaggaer. All formal bid submission documents for Altalink and other customers
• Managing estimate completion and putting all the info together for submission for project managers, includes follow up with engineering, panel shop, subcontractors, and procurement.
• Review of RFQ packages and ensure all deliverables are being met.
• Margin review and submission for approval
• E-Auction prep with High and Low Bid numbers and margin breakdown for each bid amount
• Estimate status tracking updates.
• Estimation Review with CM/TM group

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required.
• Experience working on commercial, industrial and / or institutional projects
• Ability to build scope of work and clearly communicate with customers
• Ability to put together a professional presentation
• Experience creating reports on costing data
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong computer skills including MS Office. Accubid would be preferred but other estimating software skills will also be considered.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
• High attention to detail and ability to meet defined deadlines
• Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems and up to date code requirements
• Able to communicate in a professional and concise manner in writing and verbally
